Professor Daniel Nwachukwu, a distinguished academic and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC), has highlighted the immense potential of zobo leaves in managing hypertension and promoting heart health. In his recent inaugural lecture titled "The Marriage between the Cardiovascular System and Hibiscus Sabdariffa (Zobo Leaves): Let No One Put Asunder," Professor Nwachukwu emphasized the therapeutic properties of zobo leaves in combating heart-related ailments.

According to Professor Nwachukwu, extensive research has demonstrated the effectiveness of hibiscus sabdariffa, commonly known as zobo leaves, in regulating blood pressure and enhancing cardiovascular function. He emphasized that regular consumption of zobo leaves extract can provide a balancing and rejuvenating effect on the heart and the entire cardiovascular system.
