The Faculty of Arts, Department of Linguistics, Igbo & Other Nigerian Languages at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) is set to hold a prayer session and candlelight procession in honour of Comrade Abigail Ndukwe Ozioma, a final-year student who passed away recently.
The event, scheduled for today, 9th September 2024, will take place at Achebe's Court at 4:30 pm. Students, faculty members, and friends of the late Abigail have been invited to gather in a solemn ceremony to celebrate her life and pay their final respects.
Comrade Abigail, who was studying Linguistics, tragically passed away after a battle with diabetes. Her sudden demise has left the university community in deep mourning, and the candlelight procession is intended to provide an opportunity for collective healing.
Participants have been asked to wear black attire and bring a candle to the event as a symbol of light in honour of Abigail's memory.
The Faculty encourages everyone to come together to support one another in this difficult time and reflect on the impact Abigail had on her peers and the UNN community.
