Esther Nwankwo, a distinguished graduate of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) who previously graduated as the best student in her faculty with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, has finally obtainied her Master's degree with distinctions in Finance at the University of Strathclyde, UK. Esther Nwankwo’s impressive credentials include an M.Sc., B.Sc., OND, AAT, ACA, and she is currently a Level 3 Candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Esther Nwankwo, a distinguished graduate of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) who previously graduated as the best student in her faculty with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, has finally obtainied her Master's degree with distinctions in Finance at the University of Strathclyde, UK.

Esther’s academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, where she achieved first-class honors at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). Her exceptional performance led to her recognition as the top graduating student in both her faculty and department.

Upon completing her bachelor’s degree, Esther received a scholarship from the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) to pursue postgraduate studies in Finance at the University of Strathclyde. The PTDF Scholarship, offered by the Federal Government agency, aims to develop indigenous human capacity in petroleum technology to meet the needs of the oil and gas industry.

Sharing her achievement on LinkedIn, Esther expressed her gratitude to the Nigerian government for awarding her this invaluable scholarship. She wrote, “Bagging an M.Sc. in Finance from the University of Strathclyde under a fully funded scholarship by the Petroleum Trust Development Fund is surreal.”

Esther also reflected on the challenges she faced during her academic journey. “Before coming to the UK,” she said, “I heard that the educational system here was relatively easy. However, nothing prepared me for the rigorous academic standards, and I am grateful to have overcome those challenges.”

In a heartfelt tribute, Esther dedicated her achievement to her parents, who had dreamed of attending college themselves but were unable to do so. She also encouraged other ambitious individuals, especially young women from humble backgrounds, to dare to dream big. “Your dreams are valid,” she emphasized.
