Usmanu Danfodiyo University Reviews Academic Calendar, 2023/2024 session

 The management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) has announced a review of the undergraduate academic calendar for the 2023/2024 session.

According to a memo issued by the Academic Planning Unit, the reviewed calendar is as follows:

First Semester:

- Lectures: 14 weeks

- Examinations: 5 weeks (May 27, 2024 - June 20, 2024)

- End of semester, marking of examinations, moderation, and Senate consideration of results: 3 weeks (July 1, 2024 - July 21, 2024)

Second Semester:

- Lectures: 12 weeks

- Examinations: 4 weeks

- End of session, marking of examinations, moderation, and submission of results and approval by the University Senate: 4 weeks (October 14, 2024 - November 9, 2024)

The academic calendar also includes public holidays on:

- Wednesday, June 12, 2024

- Monday, June 17, and Tuesday, June 18, 2024

- Monday, September 16, 2024

- Tuesday, October 1, 2024

- Monday, December 9, 2024 (Democracy Day)

- Bild el Adha

- Eid el Maulud

- National Day

The 2024/2025 academic session is scheduled to begin on November 11, 2024.
