In a recent development, the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has taken the decision to suspend admission into two of its departments: Biochemistry and Petroleum & Gas Engineering.

The announcement was made through an official statement signed by the university's Registrar, Mrs. Olakunle Makinde.

According to the university, there will be no intake into the aforementioned programs for the 2024/2025 academic session and until further notice.

The statement reads: "All prospective UTME and Direct Entry candidates for the 2024 admission should please note that the University of Lagos will not run two programs, namely: Biochemistry and Petroleum & Gas Engineering. Hence, there will be no admission into the two programs for the 2024/2025 academic session and until further notice."
