Violent Clash at EKSU Hostel, SUG Responds

In response, the Student Union Government (SUG) issued a memorandum condemning the violent act and expressing zero tolerance for such behavior.
Students of Ekiti State University (EKSU) faced an attack by a motorcyclist, leaving several injured during a dispute over fare negotiations.
The incident occurred at Empire Hostel in Phase 2 of EKSU on May 19th. According to reports, the motorcyclist attempted to assault students of the hostel following a disagreement over fares. This led to significant damage to students' property and resulted in injuries to a few students.
In response, the Student Union Government (SUG) issued a memorandum condemning the violent act and expressing zero tolerance for such behavior. The memorandum stated, "The attempt by motorcyclists to attack students of this hostel over fare negotiations resulted in extensive damage to students' property and injuries to some individuals."

Furthermore, the SUG reiterated its commitment to apprehending the perpetrators, who they described as hoodlums posing as commercial motorcyclists. They emphasized their determination to pursue justice, asserting that they will not relent until the perpetrators are brought to book. The Ekiti State Students Union firmly rejects the actions of these individuals and vows to seek justice promptly, as they believe that delayed justice is akin to denied justice.

In their words, "The Ekiti State Union condemns this evil act operated by this set of hoodlums operating under the guise of being a commercial motorcyclist. The Student Union shall seek justice and we are not backing out because justice delayed is justice denied.
