Winners Emerge in Osun State NYSC Pageantry
The contestants for platoon 2 and 1 of the 2023 Batch B Stream 1 Orientation Course have been crowned Miss NYSC and Mr Macho at the Variety nite which held on Saturday at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.

Myschoolnews reports the event which was sponsored by Rk Records began with an exciting musical session from the DJ. The event had in attendance the Camp Director, Mr Lawal Taofik; the Camp Commandant, Major Kelvin Otokhana, the Head of SAED, Mr Aleshinloye Adeniyi and other distinguished camp officials.
The chief judge, Mrs Otemuyiwa Catherine on behalf of her team of judges read out the criteria upon which contestants will be judged. She noted that they will be judged based on criteria such as beauty/handsomeness, confidence, IQ, poise, élégance for females, muscle display for the males, among others.
The contestants were expected to make three appearances.The first is their introductory appearance, the second with their white on white outfits and their last appearance in their ceremonial NYSC wear.
The event which had 10 malesand 10 females participants from the respective platoons, however started off properly as the contestants made their introductory appearance. The crowd cheered as they watched them come on stage
Making their second appearance on white on white outfits the males made display of their physique and strength and the females their elegance and beauty. This also left the crowd wowed and excited. The contestants in their last appearance were asked different questions about the Scheme and other camp activities as a test of their IQ.
Platoon one with 63 points, nine with 56.25 points and seven with 55.5 point ,emerged 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively for the Mr Macho category. Meanwhile for the Miss NYSC category, platoon Two with 66.7 points, platoon six with 60 points and platoon eight with 59.29 points emerged 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively. The winners were presented with cheques courtesy of the sponsors.
