The agreement, finalized during a ceremony at WMOU's Lagos campus, sets the stage for enhanced partnerships in academic research, student exchange programs, and joint educational ventures between the two institutions.
WMOU was represented by Vice Chancellor Prof. Olumide Babatope Longe, Registrar C. Itp Adekunle Durosinmi, and Senior Administrative Officer Mrs. Charity Okunade, while WPUN’s team included Founder and President Dr. Daniel Odinaka and Nigeria Representative Friday Gabriel.
“This is a vital step in our mission to provide a world-class education,” said Prof. Longe, emphasizing how the collaboration aligns with WMOU's vision to stay ahead of global academic trends. He noted that the partnership would open doors for both students and faculty to engage in shared resources and expertise.
Durosinmi pointed out the significance of this collaboration, especially as WMOU expands its operations into America, marking a pivotal moment for the institution. "Our presence in America will act as a study center, providing students access to WMOU’s offerings worldwide,” he stated.
Dr. Odinaka echoed this sentiment, lauding WMOU’s forward-thinking approach and expressing optimism about the partnership. "This collaboration will combine our strengths in delivering innovative, accessible education to a global audience," he remarked.
Key areas of collaboration include joint research projects, student and faculty exchanges, and the development of joint degree programs, with a special focus on expanding access to education in the American region through WMOU's new study centers.
