Yaba College of Technology Prepares to Graduate 7,717 Students at 35th Convocation Ceremony

During a press conference on Thursday, Dr. Ibraheem Abdul, the Rector of the college, revealed that the convocation lecture, themed 'Empowering Nigerian Youths in the Present Day Economy,' will be delivered by Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President. The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, will preside over the lecture.

Yaba College of Technology Prepares to Graduate 7,717 Students at 35th Convocation Ceremony

Yaba College of Technology in Lagos State is set to host its 35th convocation ceremony from November 17 to November 23, 2023. The event will witness the graduation of a total of 7,717 students from the academic session 2021/2022.

During a press conference on Thursday, Dr. Ibraheem Abdul, the Rector of the college, revealed that the convocation lecture, themed 'Empowering Nigerian Youths in the Present Day Economy,' will be delivered by Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President. The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, will preside over the lecture.

The ceremony will include the presentation of Diplomas, Certificates, and Prizes to the graduating students. Eminent Nigerians will also be conferred with the fellowship of the college. Notable recipients include Lady Christine Doja Otedola, Comrade Hassan Adebayo Sunmonu, and His Excellency, Engr. Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum.

The Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, is expected to be the Distinguished Guest of Honour at the convocation on November 23. Among the graduating students, 254 achieved distinction, 1,893 are in the Upper Credit division, 3,940 in the Lower Credit division, and 1,630 in the Pass grade.
