The Chief Medical Director of YOBE STATE UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL, YSUTH, Prof. Baba Waru Goni, has received in audience the management and players of YSUTH STARS FC, following the team’s triumphant victory in the just-concluded Hon. Nasiru Hassan Yusuf Football Competition.

The team presented the championship trophy to the Chief Medical Director, who congratulated the players, technical crew and management for their commendable performance, discipline and determination throughout the competition.

Prof. Baba Waru Goni reaffirmed Management’s commitment to the continued growth and development of YSUTH STARS FC, pledging sustained support and assistance to the team as it continues to represent the Hospital in sporting competitions.

The Chief Medical Director received the team in the presence of the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, CMAC, Dr. Habu Abdul, and the Director of Administration, Malam Hassan Gana.

He also expressed his appreciation to the Executive Governor of YOBE STATE, His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, for the continued support and commitment of the YOBE STATE Government to the development of YSUTH. He noted that the enabling support of the Government has strengthened Management’s capacity to pursue initiatives that advance the Hospital’s development and promote the welfare of its staff.
