This is following the recent tragic incident at the Saints Academy Jos, wherein a two-story building collapse led to the loss of over 24 lives and left many others injured.

In response to the disaster, Governor Mutfwang convened a Technical Committee, stressing the urgency of the situation during the committee's inauguration at the Twin Theatre, New Government House Little Rayfield, Jos. He urged the committee members to conduct a thorough investigation into the factors contributing to the building collapse and to ascertain the accountability of those involved in the construction and maintenance of the structure.

Governor Mutfwang emphasized the importance of learning from the tragedy to prevent similar incidents in the future. "We must understand why this incident occurred, identify any lapses in duty, and implement measures to prevent a recurrence," he stated. He also emphasized his dedication to implementing stringent measures to uphold the safety and integrity of buildings throughout the state, emphasizing the paramount importance of protecting innocent lives. "The loss of 24 children serves as a solemn reminder of the critical nature of our mission," he remarked.
Furthermore, the governor instructed the Secretary to the State Government to extend the committee's scope to include an assessment of the burnt Jos Main Market, where concerns have been raised about the structural stability of the remaining edifice. This move underscores Governor Mutfwang's commitment to ensuring the safety of all residents in Plateau State, emphasizing the need for proactive measures to prevent future tragedies
