In an unprecedented move, 16-year-old student-athlete Darryn Peterson has etched his name in history as the first-ever high school student to be signed by sportswear giant Adidas as a basketball player.

Adidas inked the groundbreaking deal with Darryn under the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) framework, marking a significant milestone in the world of high school sports. The deal not only recognizes his talent but also provides a platform for him to elevate his brand globally.
"The deal gives me the opportunity to take my brand to the next level and spread it around the world. It means a lot. For Adidas to choose me out of all the high school basketball players in the world," expressed Darryn. The deal comes with a valuation of $269,000, and he has earned a spot in the top 25 high school basketball rankings.
