17-year-old girl, Kelly Hyles has been accepted into 21 prestigious universities across the United States, including all eight Ivy League schools. Kelly’s academic journey at the High School for Math, Science, and Engineering in New York was marked by her exceptional performance. Her outstanding grade point average, achieved while taking college-level classes, earned her the valedictorian title of her class.

17-year-old Kelly Hyles has been accepted into 21 prestigious universities across the United States, including all eight Ivy League schools.

Kelly, a Guyanese immigrant, also graduated as the valedictorian of the High School for Math, Science, and Engineering at City College of New York, with an impressive 99.63% grade point average.

Kelly received acceptance letters from top institutions such as Dartmouth University, Cornell University, Brown University, Columbia University, and the University of Pennsylvania.

Upon receiving the news of her acceptances, Kelly revealed that she and her mother, Anetta Hyles, experienced a mix of joy and shock as they sifted through the letters of acceptance. Anetta, is a nurse's aide and single mother who raised Kelly.

Kelly’s academic journey at the High School for Math, Science, and Engineering in New York was marked by her exceptional performance. Her outstanding grade point average, achieved while taking college-level classes, earned her the valedictorian title of her class.

Wade Klein, Kelly’s guidance counselor, praised her consistency and determination, noting that she earned nearly perfect grades on every exam, project, and homework assignment throughout her four years of high school. “It could only be possible because she was consistent and determined,” Klein stated.
