18-Year-Old Javien Delasbour Achieves Perfect 4.00 GPA, Becomes First Black Valedictorian at Erath High School

In a historic achievement, 18-year-old Javien Delasbour has become the first black valedictorian at Erath High School in the United States, graduating with a flawless 4.00 cumulative grade point average.

Javien distinguished himself as the top student among the school’s 14 valedictorians for the graduating class, achieving straight A’s throughout his academic career with no B’s on record. His achievement not only highlights academic excellence but also his active participation in extracurricular activities, including saxophone in the school band, cross-country running, and membership in the Beta Club.

"I knew it was going toward a bigger goal at the end of the day. I knew I was working toward something bigger than just a quiz on a Monday," Javien remarked.

Following his mother's footsteps, Javien plans to pursue Civil Engineering at Louisiana State University, driven by a passion for infrastructure design and problem-solving in construction.
