AAU Vice-Chancellor Urges Increased Investment in Education
The Vice-Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Prof. Eunice Omonzejie, has called on the Federal Government, multinational agencies, and education stakeholders to increase investment in the sector to enhance the global competitiveness of Nigerian graduates.
The Vice-Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Prof. Eunice Omonzejie, has called on the Federal Government, multinational agencies, and education stakeholders to increase investment in the sector to enhance the global competitiveness of Nigerian graduates.

Prof. Omonzejie made the appeal during a courtesy visit by the National Leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), led by its President, Olushola Oladoja. She emphasized the urgent need for reforms across all levels of education to align with international standards.
The Vice-Chancellor commended Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for his efforts in reviving the university through various interventions that have restored confidence in the institution. She assured the student body of her administration’s commitment to openness and collaboration, stating, “You can be sure that you have a mother in me.”

In his remarks, NANS President Olushola Oladoja applauded the Edo State Government’s efforts at AAU and commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the NELFund scheme, a zero-interest educational loan designed to support students financially. He urged Nigerian students to take full advantage of the initiative.
The meeting underscored the need for stronger cooperation between universities, government, and students in driving educational development and sustaining academic excellence in Nigeria.
