Abdulkadir Kure University Students to Receive Scholarships from Senator Sani Musa
Senator Sani Musa has pledged to award scholarships to students of Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna, from his constituency.
Distinguished Senator Mohammed Sani Musa (313) has announced a significant scholarship program aimed at supporting students of Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna (AKU Minna) from his constituency, Niger East Senatorial District. During a recent visit from the university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Aliyu Mohammed Paiko, Senator Musa, who also serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, reaffirmed his commitment to advancing education in the region.
The scholarships, which will be awarded to indigent students from the Senator’s constituency, are part of his ongoing efforts to support educational access and opportunity. Senator Musa has previously contributed to various scholarship schemes across tertiary institutions in Niger State, making higher education more accessible to deserving students.
In addition to the scholarships, the Senator pledged to facilitate the construction of student hostels at AKU Minna, which is in line with the President's Renewed Hope Agenda through the National Homes Programme. This initiative aims to improve student accommodation and enhance the learning environment for the university’s growing population.
The Vice Chancellor, during the courtesy visit to the Senator's Abuja residence, expressed gratitude for the Senator’s continuous support. Professor Paiko emphasized that AKU Minna, the newest university in the state, has a clear mandate to produce innovative thinkers and entrepreneurship-driven graduates. He also highlighted the Senator’s long-standing contribution to education through scholarships and infrastructure development in the region.
Senator Musa assured the university of his ongoing support and noted that the Niger State National Assembly Caucus would work together to further assist AKU Minna as it continues its mission of transforming education in the state.
The AKU team, which included Deputy Registrar Babangida Bala Jatau, Ag. Director of Resource Mobilization Shehu Mohammed Sarkindaji, and the Vice Chancellor’s Personal Assistant, extended their appreciation for the Senator’s commitment and looked forward to the positive impact his interventions will bring to the university community.
