Dr Chidi Slessor Mba, the university's ASUU chairman, confirmed the suspension of the strike, citing Governor Alex Otti's commitment to addressing the union's demands. The primary focus of the union's concerns was the request for the payment of 11-month salary arrears and other related matters. Governor Otti's proactive response to invite the union for a dialogue was a key factor in the decision to end the strike.
