The Nematology Student Club was established at ABU with the support of the Nematology Education in Sub-Saharan Africa (NEMEDUSSA) project, coordinated by Ghent University, Belgium, and funded by the European Union through Erasmus+. The club aims to promote nematology education and research, raising awareness and fostering interest in this critical yet underexplored field.
Dr. Julius Bulus, the club's coordinator and research supervisor, commended the students' remarkable achievements, highlighting the transformative role of the Nematology Student Club in inspiring a new generation of researchers. He expressed gratitude to the NEMEDUSSA consortium, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and the staff members in the nematology unit for their dedication to the initiative's success.
