1. Basic (IJMB) Programme:

If you’re an ambitious student aiming for Direct Entry into any Nigerian University, ABU’s IJMB programme is tailored just for you. It’s an Advanced Level Programme that spans for a dedicated period of Twelve (12) months.

2. Remedial Programme:

The Remedial programme serves as a bridge, lasting up to Nine (9) months. Successful completion of this programme promises admission into the renowned ABU Zaria.

ABU IJMB Admission Requirements

Before applying for the IJMB programme, you need to be aware of the following criteria:

Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) credits, which includes English Language and Mathematics. This should be acquired in not more than two attempts. Here are some of the subject combinations you can consider:

Basic Science 1: Biology, Chemistry and Physics

Once admitted, candidates are required to register for JAMB Direct Entry Admission.

ABU Remedial Admission Requirements

For those eyeing the Remedial programme, here’s what you need to know:

Candidates should possess at least three (3) credits in science subjects. This should be in not more than one attempt. You can choose from the following subject combinations:

Remedial Science 1: English, Biology, Chemistry and Geography

Remedial Science 2: English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics

Also, registering for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is a must. Ensure you meet the minimum pass mark set by the Federal Government and select Ahmadu Bello University as your first choice.

The Remedial programme also spans twelve (12) months.
