The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) School of Basic Studies Alumni Association (BASICO) has reaffirmed its commitment to the university's progress during a courtesy visit to the Governing Council and Management on December 5, 2024. The visit, led by the association's Chairman, Dr. Suleyman A. Ndanusa, OON, included executive members from various alumni sets.
Dr. Ndanusa emphasized the association’s dedication to strengthening its network and contributing to the institution that shaped their careers. He noted that the alumni association had mobilized over 500 members, including notable figures such as former Vice President Namadi Sambo, governors, and ministers. He underscored the importance of alumni involvement in sustaining the institution, drawing parallels with global practices such as those at Harvard University.
The visit concluded with the university management reaffirming its readiness to collaborate with BASICO to advance ABU’s mission and tackle pressing challenges, such as infrastructure and funding.
