ABU Students Representative Council Congratulates Debate Team on Victory in LEAP Africa Competition

The leadership of the Ahmadu Bello University Students Representative Council (ABUSRC) has congratulated Team ABU for emerging as the overall best in the inter-campus debate competition organized by LEAP Africa on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

The team outperformed competitors from the University of Ilorin, Bayero University Kano (BUK), Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Benue State University, and Baze University.

In a statement signed by the Secretary General, Umar Ishaq Katsinawa, on behalf of the President, the council praised the team’s achievement, emphasizing how their victory has secured ABU a spot in the semi-final stage of the competition. The council also highlighted the ₦2.5 million prize won by the team and expressed their best wishes for continued success in the upcoming round.
