ABU to Host Public Lecture on Brain Health

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) will host a public lecture on brain health as part of the Neuroscience Society of Nigeria's Brain Awareness Week 2025.

The lecture, scheduled for July 1, 2025, will feature expert presentations from distinguished academics, medical professionals, and advocates on the theme "Brain on Burnout: The Impact of Environmental Stressors, Substance Use, and Sleep Deprivation".

The event aims to promote public engagement and brain health education, and will be attended by notable figures, including the Vice-Chancellor of ABU, Prof. Adamu Ahmed. Other activities planned for the Brain Awareness Week include a Brain Bee competition, exhibition, Women in Neuroscience Event, and radio broadcast.
