Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Appoints New Acting Bursar
He began his career in 1990 as an Internal Auditor II at the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi before transferring to the Bursary department of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in 1991. He also served as the substantive Bursar at the Federal University of Kashere from 2015 to 2020.

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, has appointed Alhaji Aliyu Mohammed Abubakar as the new Acting Bursar. His appointment, which takes immediate effect, will last for six months pending the selection of a permanent Bursar.
The announcement was made in a letter signed by the Acting Registrar of the University, Alhaji Ahmad Hammayero Abubakar. Alhaji Aliyu is a seasoned accountant with over thirty-three years of experience in the university’s Bursary department.
He began his career in 1990 as an Internal Auditor II at the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi before transferring to the Bursary department of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in 1991. He also served as the substantive Bursar at the Federal University of Kashere from 2015 to 2020.
Alhaji Aliyu holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, obtained in 1989, as well as an MBA in Technology Management from ATBU Bauchi. He is also a Certified Accountant with the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN). Prior to his new appointment, he held the position of Senior Deputy Bursar within the university's Bursary department.
