This achievement marks the second consecutive year that Success has commemorated Nigeria’s independence with a significant run, having completed 63 kilometers last year.

400-Level Student of Air Force Institute of Technology  Runs 64 Kilometers to Celebrate Nigeria's Independence Anniversary

Success Ayagwa, a 400-level student at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), completed a remarkable 64-kilometer run to celebrate Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary. This distance exceeds the approximate 63 kilometers between Lagos and Abeokuta.

The long-distance run took place within the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna, starting at 5 a.m. and concluding at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

After finishing the run, Success shared his motivation, stating, “I wanted to show my love for Nigeria and highlight my talent in long-distance running.” This achievement marks the second consecutive year that Success has commemorated Nigeria’s independence with a significant run, having completed 63 kilometers last year.

His coach, Sergeant Wayo Emmanuel, Chief Instructor at AFIT’s Office of the Director of Sports, recognized Success’s potential two years ago and has played a crucial role in his development as an athlete.
