AFYMP Nominates LASUSTECH Student as Campus Journalism Fellow
Miss Olaoluwa Esther, a 200-Level Journalism Sequence student from the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), has been nominated as a Campus Journalism Fellow for 2024 by the African Foundation for Young Media Professionals (AFYMP).
The African Foundation for Young Media Professionals (AFYMP) has selected Miss Olaoluwa Esther, a 200-Level Journalism Sequence student from the Department of Mass Communication at Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), as one of its Campus Journalism Fellows for 2024.

In a statement released via AFYMP's social media handle @africamediafdn, Miss Olaoluwa Esther was among the 19 nominees chosen from various campuses across Nigeria and other African countries such as Kenya, Zambia, Mali, and the Gambia.
The nomination, facilitated by AFYMP, a non-governmental organization aimed at supporting young media professionals in honing their skills, signifies a remarkable achievement for Miss Olaoluwa Esther. As part of her fellowship, she will embark on a two-day intensive workshop at the University of Ibadan Hotels scheduled between May 15th and 16th, 2024.

Miss Olaoluwa Esther, who currently serves as the Deputy Advert Manager of the Union of Campus Journalists (LASUSTECH chapter), is poised to represent both her Union, Department, and LASUSTECH at large in her new role as an ambassador.
The initiative is spearheaded by Africa Young Media Professionals with support from the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism and the McArthur Foundation. The LASUSTECH chapter of the Union of Campus Journalists extends their best wishes to Miss Olaoluwa Esther in her upcoming endeavors as she assumes her new role as a Campus Journalism Fellow.
