Ahmadu Bello University Alumni Association Announces 17th Annual General Meeting and Homecoming

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has announced its 17th Annual General Assembly (AGA) and Homecoming event, scheduled for September 27-28, 2024. The event aims to bring together members of the university community to reflect on and advance the institution's mission of fostering national and international integration and promoting African traditions and cultures.

The AGA will feature a pre-event lecture on "Hunger and Economic Hardship: A Wake-up Call to Return to Our Basics and Embrace Innovative Agricultural Solutions," presented by Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, CON, Baraden Borgu, the Hon. Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development. The lecture will take place on September 27 at 10:00 AM in the Assembly Hall, Main Campus, Samaru, Zaria.

The main Assembly meeting will follow on September 28 at 12:00 PM in the Senate Chambers, Main Campus, Samaru, Zaria. The event will be chaired by Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, CFR, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of ABU.
