Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic kicks off registration for SUG Cup Tournament, inviting students to participate in soccer, table tennis, and marathon events.

Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic has ignited the spirit of sportsmanship and competition with the launch of registration for the highly anticipated SUG Cup Tournament. The registration process, which officially commenced today, 2nd April, 2024, will remain open until Monday, April 15th, 2024, providing students with ample opportunity to showcase their athletic prowess.

Departments across the campus are gearing up to participate in a variety of sports, with opportunities available for students to engage in soccer, table tennis, and marathon events. In soccer, teams will comprise 18 players, while the table tennis category invites one male and one female representative per department. The marathon challenge welcomes teams consisting of three male and three female participants per department, ready to conquer the distances on the track.
To ensure a smooth registration process, interested students are encouraged to liaise directly with their respective Departmental Directors of Sports. This collaborative effort aims to foster teamwork, physical fitness, and healthy competition among the student body.
