Al-Hikmah University Celebrates International Peace Day

Al-Hikmah University celebrated the International Peace Day with a significant emphasis on promoting peace through dialogue and forgiveness. The event, organized by the Centre for Peace and Security Studies (CPSS), featured prominent speakers, including Vice Chancellor Prof. Noah Yusuf, who stressed that peace must be cultivated through understanding and mutual respect.

Prof. Yusuf urged Nigerians to embrace forgiveness as a critical step towards resolving conflicts, stating, “If we follow the Biblical injunction of an eye for an eye, the whole country will go blind.” He highlighted the importance of dialogue in fostering peaceful co-existence, reinforcing the idea that communication is essential for conflict resolution.
