Alhaji Dr. Mohammadu Indimi Visits Borno State University

A prestigious delegation from Saudi Arabia, led by Alhaji Dr. Mohammadu Indimi, Chairman of Council and Pro-Chancellor of Borno State University (BOSU), embarked on a visit to the university.

The delegation was briefed by Professor Umar Kyari Sandabe, the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of BOSU, who highlighted the university's progress since its establishment in 2019.

 

BOSU started with thirty (30) programs across four Mega Faculties and Three Directorates.

The university, with Prof. U.K. Sandabe as the pioneer VC and Alh. Dr. Mohammadu Indimi as the pioneer Pro-Chancellor, is set to graduate its first set in February 2024.

Professor Sandabe acknowledged the support from Saudi Arabia, particularly in contributing copies of Holy Books distributed across states. He solicited further support to advance educational studies at the university.

Recognizing the youthfulness of the university, Professor Sandabe stressed the need for more support, especially in acquiring sciences and medical equipment. He emphasized that government support alone may not suffice.

Engr. Muhammad Habib, Director of Works Physical Planning and Development, detailed interventions from TetFund and other organizations, amounting to billions of Naira.

Alhaji Dr. Mohammadu Indimi expressed gratitude to the visitors and took them on a tour of the young university.

Prince Abdul-Aziz Faisal Bin Saud, leader of the delegation, appreciated BOSU's efforts and assured continued support.
