History Made as Barrister Nehemiah Shanum Danjuma Becomes First Deaf Lawyer Called to Bar in Northern Nigeria

History has been made as Barrister Nehemiah Shanum Danjuma, Esq., became the first deaf lawyer from Northern Nigeria to be called to the Nigerian Bar.

Danjuma earned his LL.B. from the University of Ilorin between 2018 and 2024, and proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Abuja, where he obtained his B.L. in 2026. 

He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, MICIArb; a Member of the Institute of Legal Administrators, MILA; and an MTI Accredited Mediator.
