Adeleye is accused of the abduction and murder of Christianah Idowu, a student at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).

Adeleye’s arrest followed a harrowing sequence of events that began with Christianah's abduction and murder. The tragic case has drawn significant public attention, not only because of the brutality of the crime but also due to Adeleye’s alarming criminal history. In 2018, Adeleye was linked to the murder of an innocent woman. He continued his violent spree by killing his own sister in 2020. Christianah's murder in 2024 represents the latest and most egregious of his crimes.
