AFUED Governing Council Appoints New Acting Vice Chancellor and Principal Officers

The Governing Council of Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED), Ondo, has approved the appointment of Dr. Samuel Akintunde as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the university. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Akintunde served as the Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) at the institution.

In a similar move, the Council has appointed Dr. Olufemi Abayomi Olajuyigbe, Chairman of the University Transition Committee, as the Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor. The information regarding these appointments was detailed in a memo dated August 21, 2024, signed by Mrs. Veronica Akpe, Deputy Registrar, Division of Council Affairs.

The Council noted that the management, all staff unions, and the student body of the university had recommended the approval of these appointments.

Additionally, the Council confirmed the acting appointments of other principal officers, including Mrs. Olufisayo O. Fakorede as Acting Registrar, Mrs. Taiwo O. Adedoyin as Acting Bursar, and Dr. Mrs. Adeola F. Afolabi as Acting University Librarian. These appointments took effect from August 14, 2024.

These new appointments are expected to bring fresh perspectives and leadership to the university, fostering growth and development in the institution’s academic and administrative functions.
