Army Unveils Renovated Sick Bay at Chibok School

The General Officer Commanding, 7 Division, and Commander, Sector 1 Operation Hadin Kai, Maj.-Gen. Peter Malla, represented by Brig.-Gen. BO Amakor, unveiled a renovated sick bay at Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State. This initiative is part of the Army's ongoing efforts to contribute to host communities.

The GOC stated that the gesture includes assorted drug donations to the school from the Theatre Commander, North East Joint Operation, Hadin Kai, Maj.-Gen. Gold Chibuisi. The Brigade responded by renovating the school's sick bay, providing facilities for the well-being of both staff and students.

As part of the occasion, a lecture titled "Drugs and Substance Abuse: Implication for the Future" was organized by the Brigade and delivered to the students by the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency.

Maj.-Gen. Malla emphasized the importance of continuing to educate youths about the dangers of drugs and substance abuse. He expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.Gen. Taored Lagbaja, for his purposeful leadership and thanked the theatre commander for the continued support of Sector 1 Operation Hadin Kai. The governments of Adamawa and Borno were also appreciated for their continuous support and collaboration with the military.

This initiative not only signifies the Army's commitment to community development but also addresses health and educational needs, fostering a positive impact on the lives of those in Chibok.
