Asia Bryant, a resilient young American, has defied challenging circumstances and achieved an extraordinary milestone by graduating with a Master’s degree in International Business from Florida International University. What makes her accomplishment even more remarkable is her unwavering commitment to work nearly 18 hours daily to fund her education.

Starting with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a minor in Chinese Studies from Texas Southern University, Asia continued her educational pursuit at Florida International University for her Master in International Business (MIB). The journey, however, was fraught with challenges, including discrimination and hardships that tested her resolve.

"I learned to speak 'properly' after being teased for my thick southern accent. I’ve had glass thrown at me from racists, been xually harassed by people I looked up too, discriminated against because of the color of my skin, the list could go on. The odds weren’t supposed to be in my favor," she bravely shared.

Balancing two jobs, working 16-18 hours a day, while being a full-time graduate student demanded discipline and perseverance from Asia. Despite facing adversity, she emerged victorious, dedicated her success to her family, and expressed the significance of being the first in her family to attain a Master's degree.

"Being the first in my family to achieve this milestone, I hope to open a door and create a lane for future generations to come," Asia stated with pride. She extended her gratitude to her family for their unwavering support, both physically and spiritually, during moments when she contemplated breaking down and quitting.
