The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) School has declared its support for the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities (NASU) in their decision to embark on a one-week warning strike. ASUU President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, stated in an exclusive interview with Nigerian Tribune that it is within the rights of these unions to engage in industrial action if they deem it necessary.
While expressing ASUU's solidarity with SSANU and NASU, Professor Osodeke emphasized that each union has the autonomy to negotiate independently with employers.
