ATBU Students Set to Protest Over Safety Concerns Following Student Stabbing

Amidst mounting safety concerns, students of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) are gearing up for a massive protest to demand increased security measures from both government and school authorities.

The call for action comes in the wake of a disturbing incident involving the stabbing of a 500-level student, followed by the student's sudden disappearance.

Scheduled to commence at 7 am at the Yelwa gate, the planned demonstration aims to address the failure of the government and school management in ensuring a secure environment for off-campus students, especially in light of recent unfortunate events.

A message circulated among students urges unity in peacefully protesting against the misplaced priorities that have jeopardized their safety. While denouncing violence, the students emphasize the critical need to stand in solidarity for the welfare and protection of every member of the ATBU community.

"We are not encouraging violence, but we are looking out for our fellow balewites. It might be you next if we don't collectively fight these issues," the circulated message reads.
