A Babcock University student, Benny Dera, has graduated with a PhD, marking the culmination of an impressive academic journey spanning 12 years. Dera completed his bachelor's degree in 2017 and took a one-year break for his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Anambra state.

He returned to school in 2019, enrolling in a master's degree program in public health, which he completed in 2021. He then pursued a PhD, completing it in 2024 at Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun state.
