Bayero University Kano Old Campus Youth Assembly Pledges Support to Address Insecurity, Youth Empowerment, and Career Education

The Bayero University Kano Old Campus Youth Assembly paid a courtesy visit to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sagir Adamu Abbas on March 28, 2025, pledging their support to address pressing issues affecting the university community.

The assembly offered to contribute to addressing insecurity within the university and proposed providing free medical services to the university community. They also aim to enhance skills acquisition programs, career guidance, and admission support for students.

Established in 1972, the Bayero University Kano Old Campus Youth Assembly was formally inaugurated in 2017 with objectives to foster unity, provide skill acquisition training, and promote career development among members.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sagir Adamu Abbas commended the assembly for their initiative, describing their efforts as a welcome development. He assured the assembly of the university management's continued support in achieving their objectives.

The University Librarian, Dr. Kabiru Dahiru Abbas, suggested expanding the assembly's activities to include providing scholarships to indigent students.
