Bayero University Kano Student Sets Guinness World Record for Face Painting
In a historic moment at Bayero University Kano (BUK), Collins Chukwuemeka Whitworth, a 400-level student of Civil Engineering, has successfully broken the Guinness World Record for the most faces painted by an individual in 24 hours. The event took place at the Ramat car park on BUK's main campus.

Collins, originally from Delta State but raised in Kano, embarked on this remarkable journey, aiming to surpass the previous record. Speaking before the challenge began, he shared his motivation, saying, "I am a face painter; I do that as part of my hustle. I feel face painting should not just be limited to parties and maybe birthday celebrations. The world needs to know how beautiful colors are."
His goal was to paint flags of different countries on people's faces, targeting at least 720 faces in the next 24 hours. Collins expressed optimism, stating, "I am optimistic and I believe that with God, I can even do more."
The accomplishment has garnered immense pride and recognition, with the Governor of Kano State, the people of Kano, and Bayero University Kano students expressing their admiration for Collins's remarkable achievement.
