Bayero University Kano is set to honor the legacy of Sheikh Nasiru Kabara, a prominent Islamic scholar and philosopher. Known as Amirul Jaysh (RA), Sheikh Kabara was born in 1912 in Guringuwa village near Kano, Nigeria. His ancestry traces back to Kabara, a town in the Timbuktu kingdom.
