Hosts Bodija International Schools (BIS) have successfully secured their spot in the semifinals of the inaugural Kayode Eso football tournament, generously sponsored by the school's management. Joining them in the last four are formidable contenders International School Ibadan (ISI), King's College, and Lead City.

The journey to the semifinals was marked by intense competition, with each team demonstrating their prowess on the field. BIS emerged victorious in a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Ever Flourish School. ISI, on the other hand, secured their spot in the semifinals by overcoming City of Faith School with a score of 2-1.

Lead City High School demonstrated their dominance by defeating Fontana International School with a convincing score of 3-1. King's College also showcased their skills with a 2-1 victory over All Souls School in the day's final match.

The upcoming semifinal clashes are set to be thrilling. ISI will take on Lead City, while King's College will face off against BIS. The competition promises to be a showcase of young talent and a testament to the importance of sports in education.

Speaking after the matches, Mr. Olumide Eso, the Director of Schools at Bodija International School, expressed his delight at the enthusiastic turnout of spectators and applauded all the participating schools for their impressive performance on the field.

The tournament holds special significance as it is held in honor of the late Mr. Kayode Eso, who had a deep connection with sports during his lifetime. Olumide Eso, the son of the late honoree, emphasized the school's commitment to discovering soccer talent and keeping students meaningfully engaged, focused, and disciplined.
