BUK 57th SUG Commissions "Professor Haruna Musa Students’ Hub" to Boost Academic Collaboration

The 57th Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Bayero University, Kano, led by Comrade Abdullahi Usman Baba, has officially commissioned a major student-focused project, the Professor Haruna Musa Students’ Hub, on Tuesday, 3rd February 2026. The facility is located at the Faculty of Engineering, New Campus.

Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Haruna Musa, fsi, expressed appreciation for the honour and commended the students for the initiative. He encouraged students to make effective use of the Hub as a centre for learning, research, and academic collaboration.

The Dean of Students’ Affairs, Professor Ridwan Mukhtar Bunza, also praised the 57th SUG Administration for the project, assuring the university management that the facility would be properly maintained and used strictly for educational purposes.

Similarly, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, represented by Dr. Gambo Haruna Yunusa, described the project as timely and impactful, noting that it would significantly enhance the academic environment for students.

In his remarks, Comrade Abdullahi Usman Baba thanked the university management for their continuous support and reaffirmed the Union’s commitment to student welfare, despite the short tenure of the administration.

The event was attended by principal officers of the university, SUG executives, and members of the academic community.
