BUK Releases Notice On Commencement Of Bus Shuttle For Staff
The Management of the university has initiated palliative measures for staff and students as part of its efforts to cushion the effect of subsidy removal monitored by myschoolnews
In line with this development, daily bus shuttle from town to the University campuses commenced on Monday, 24th July 2023. Each day (Monday to Friday) buses will depart BUK Zoo Road staff quarters and have stopovers at Dan Agundi junction (near Aliko filling station), Old Campus gate and stop at New Campus.
The first bus will depart at 8am while the second bus will leave at 10am.
Equally, at the close of office, the first and second buses will take off from the Vice Chancellor's parking lot at the old Admin Block at 4:00pm and 6pm respectively and will follow the same route to stop at BUK Zoo Road Staff quarters.
It should be noted that this arrangement is aimed at alleviating the hardship experienced by staff due to removal of subsidy and therefore, the services are restricted to only members of staff of the university.
These arrangements, along with other palliative measures are part of the deliberate initiatives by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas with the aim of improving the welfare of staff for effective service delivery.
It is expected that staff would reciprocate this laudable initiative by showing more commitment to the service of the university through punctuality, increase productivity as well as avoiding absentism.
