The Chairman of Educare, Mr. Alex Onyia, has announced his intention to offer scholarships to two deserving students who have excelled in the recently concluded Joint Admission Matriculation Examination (JAMB) UTME.

In celebration of his birthday, Mr. Onyia expressed on his social media handle his plan to award fully-funded scholarships to one male and one female student. These scholarships will allow the recipients to attend any federal university in Nigeria and will cover the full duration of their academic programs.

Furthermore, Mr. Onyia stated that the scholarship would include funding for accommodation, textbooks, and a monthly allowance. In his words: “I want to offer two individuals (a boy and a girl) who scored above 320 in JAMB and are unable to afford university education a full scholarship to a federal university in Nigeria. This includes school fees, accommodation, textbooks, and a monthly allowance.”

However, he emphasized that recipients must meet and maintain a first-class standing to continue benefiting from the scholarship. Mr. Onyia is also extending this opportunity to current university students who have achieved a first-class grade point average but are facing financial difficulties. “I would also like to support individuals who have maintained a first-class standing in the university but are experiencing financial challenges,” he added.
