Chief Wole Olanipekun Named UNILAG's Governing Board Chairman by President Tinubu
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, as the pro-chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Board of the University of Lagos (UNILAG). Chief Olanipekun, a renowned Senior Advocate of Nigeria, brings vast experience and expertise to the role, having been involved in many landmark legal cases nationally and internationally.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, as the pro-chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Board of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka, Lagos State. Born on November 18, 1951, in Ikere-Ekiti, Chief Olanipekun boasts an impressive educational background, having attended Amoye Grammar School, Ikere-Ekiti, Ilesa Grammar School, Ilesa, the University of Lagos, and the Nigerian Law School, Lagos.

Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, is the founder and principal partner of Wole Olanipekun & Co. He was conferred with the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in 1991, recognizing his significant contributions to the advancement of the legal profession in Nigeria. With over 15 years of legal practice experience, Chief Olanipekun is renowned as one of Nigeria’s leading barristers, having been involved in many of the country’s landmark cases and earning international recognition as an expert in Nigerian law.
