Delta State University Congregation Elects New Non-Academic Representative

The Delta State University (DELSU) Congregation has elected Comrade Monday Izu as its non-academic representative to the university's Governing Council.
The election, held on August 15, 2025, at the 750 Lecture Theatre A, Site III, DELSU Abraka, was keenly contested between Comrade Izu and Mr. Emuakpo Ekuerhare. Comrade Izu secured 395 votes, surpassing Mr. Ekuerhare's 385 votes.
Comrade Monday Izu's election marks a significant milestone in his career, building on his previous experience as Chairman of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) in Delta State and Chairman of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) at DELSU .
