Alhaji Ahmed Wada Ikaka, the Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics (PRS) at NDHQ Abuja, made a surprise visit to the Magaji Dan Yamusa NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Keffi, Nasarawa State on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

Alhaji Ahmed Wada Ikaka, the Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics (PRS) at NDHQ Abuja, made a surprise visit to the Magaji Dan Yamusa NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Keffi, Nasarawa State on Saturday, September 7, 2024. His visit coincided with the ongoing 2024 Batch 'B' Stream II Orientation Course.

Accompanied by the State Coordinator, Mrs. Salamatu A. Muhammad, Alhaji Ikaka conducted a thorough tour of the camp, engaging directly with corps members, particularly those stationed in the kitchen. His visit aimed to boost morale and offer guidance on the core values of the NYSC scheme.

During his interactions, Alhaji Ikaka stressed the importance of unity and adherence to the Scheme’s rules. “Stay united as true Nigerians, without being divided by religion or ethnicity,” he urged the corps members. He emphasized the value of contributing positively to the nation and advised against being a burden.

He highlighted the camp's role in integrating Nigeria's diverse ethnic groups and encouraged the corps members to aim for excellence. Alhaji Ikaka also cautioned against looking down on others, advocating for collaboration and teamwork as keys to achieving success.

At the end of the visit, Mrs. Salamatu A. Muhammad expressed her appreciation to Alhaji Ikaka for his motivational presence. She reported that the orientation course had been progressing smoothly without any issues.

The visit underscored the NYSC’s commitment to fostering national unity and excellence among its corps members, with senior officials like Alhaji Ikaka playing a pivotal role in supporting and guiding them during their service year.
