Dr. Donald Rotimi Ogungbade, a distinguished figure in the field of academia and a revered leader, has passed away, as confirmed by his colleagues. Dr. Ogungbade's demise occurred on the night of October 16, 2023.
Dr. Ogungbade's illustrious career commenced when he joined the Department of Marketing at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, as one of its pioneering members. His journey began in 1994, when he transitioned from "The Polytechnic Ibadan" - Eruwa Campus to Osun State Polytechnic, Iree. Throughout his tenure, he assumed various significant roles within the institution, including serving as the Head of the Department of Marketing and Purchasing & Supply, Director of the Directorate of Examination, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies, and Chairman of the Committee of Deans. Dr. Ogungbade concluded his dedicated service with a well-earned retirement.
Dr. Ogungbade was not only a remarkable scholar but also a resolute and inspirational leader. He dedicated himself to the mentorship of numerous individuals, nurturing them into accomplished professionals and leaders in their respective fields.
In this time of profound loss, it is hoped that the family finds the needed strength and fortitude to bear their loss.
