Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has implemented significant changes in the compensation and tuition structure of Ebonyi State University, with a 20% increase in the salaries of senior staff and a 10% increase for junior staff. Additionally, the governor announced a 10% reduction in school fees for university students. 

The announcement was made during the 12th-15th convocation ceremony at Ebonyi State University, where Governor Nwifuru addressed the graduands and encouraged them to actively contribute to nation-building. He also urged them to shun social vices, including corruption, ethnic bigotry, religious intolerance, violence, and indiscipline, emphasizing that they are the future leaders of the country.
