Ekiti NSCDC Commandant Visits Police Commissioner, EKSU Vice Chancellor
The Ekiti State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr. Toma Matthew Enya PSLC, visited the Commissioner of Police, Joseph Eribo, and the Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Professor Joseph Babatola Ayodele, as part of his familiarization tour.

The Ekiti State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr. Toma Matthew Enya PSLC, has paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, Joseph Eribo, as part of his familiarization tour and efforts to strengthen inter-agency collaboration in the state.
The visit, which took place at the Commissioner’s office along Old Iyin Road, Ado-Ekiti, aligns with the directive of the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, to develop a strategic framework supporting the Corps' core mandates. During the meeting, Commandant Enya emphasized the importance of synergy and intelligence sharing among security agencies as essential for ensuring robust security operations in Ekiti State.
In response, Commissioner of Police Joseph Eribo reaffirmed the need for inter-agency cooperation to enhance community policing, safeguard lives and property, and further the Safe School Initiative. He commended the NSCDC for its dedication to security matters and pledged continued collaboration with the Corps.
Similarly, Commandant Enya also visited the Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Professor Joseph Babatola Ayodele, at his office. During the meeting, he conveyed greetings from the Commandant General and reiterated the Corps' commitment to the Safe School Initiative. He sought the university’s cooperation in intelligence sharing to enhance security on campus.
Professor Ayodele commended the NSCDC’s proactive approach and professionalism in safeguarding educational institutions. He pledged the university’s continued partnership with the Corps, particularly in designing academic programs that could enhance the performance of NSCDC officers.
As a token of appreciation, gifts were presented to the Ekiti NSCDC Commandant, followed by a photo session to mark the end of the visits.
